​Hi there!  I'm Em, 
an AFPA Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Certified Autoimmune Holistic Nutrition Specialist, with a Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from eCornell and T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. I focus on  lifestyle medicine for chronic wellness.  I care a lot about creating health in this human experience and even more passionate about helping others do the same.  My mission is to support you in optimizing your health through a holistic diet.  I'm in the Pacific Northwest of the United States and work with people around the world to support vibrant health through diet.  There's a great disconnection between food and health in the world, but the truth is that with a shift to a wholesome plant-forward diet, so many of the ailments, diseases, and chronic conditions that exist today, simply wouldn't be around.

  • We will discuss your food journey, current diet, health status and any food-related roadblocks 
  • Em will identify and provide guidance in correcting nutritional causes of major health complaints and/or conditions
  • We will discuss the power of holistic nutrition and wholesome eating habits to improve your quality of life and assist you in feeling your best in your body
  • Em will discuss habits for consciously eating in a way that promotes vibrant mind and body health, while supporting a strong immune system and preventing disease
  • All consults will receive Em's e-book Get Grounded
  • After the session, Em will design a personalized Wellness Plan for you to refer to in order to optimize your health (You will receive your Wellness Plan within 48 hours after the call)

Length: 60 minute session (via Zoom)
Fee: $75 (USD) per session and follow-up sessions are $50 (USD) for 45 minute session.
Payment is required within the hour before our session.

Why is a holistic nutrition consultation an opportunity to create health and feel better?

The first place to start when it comes to elevating your wellness is diet. 
Look at the fuel that you're providing beautiful you. There's no ignoring diet. It's really important.  Obesity, heart disease, cancer and diabetes (together) account for 75%+ of our healthcare costs.  Ninety percent of Western disease is preventable/curable through lifestyle changes.  A plant-powered diet has been shown to prevent, and often reverse, these conditions.  ​
I'd welcome the opportunity to hear your story, wellness goals, and provide you with a guiding light to elevate your health.

You will leave our session feeling empowered to fuel and support your health with food now and into the future.  There are a lot of fad diets and fancy trends out there, but the proof is in the science, and lifelong vibrant health, when it comes to embracing a plant-based wholesome diet.  Your body will be fueled so it can support you through the twists and turns of this life.

All Bliss Out Holistic Wellness forms will be provided to you in advance of our call, so that I get a better understanding of your story and we can jump right in on the call.  

​We will use the Zoom app/website for our consultation.

Further, if incorporating Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils is something that interests you, we can discuss them as well.  Additionally, there is also an option to include holistic supplements into your Wellness Plan.  


P.S. You do not need to be following a plant-based diet to work with me.  Wholesome, plant-powered foods will be the heart and soul of our session, but the goal is to make a nourishing diet work in your world to help you thrive.

Our work together is meant to compliment your medical and/or mental health treatment if you have one (for example, along side your vestibular migraine treatment plan with your doctor). This vestibular stuff is complicated, and it’s often not easy to figure out what the underlying factors are.  My mission is to show you how a nourishing plant-based diet can fuel your wellness from the inside out.  When I was at the beginning of a my journey with a vestibular condition (in autumn 2016), what I really wanted was someone to walk by my side with an energy of hope and inspiration.  The more I connected with other Vestibular Warriors, the more I realized that so many of our stories have the same chapters:  how it started, trying to get a diagnosis, attempting to find a doctor that gets it, handling the intense anxiety, coping with the fact that most people won't understand what it feels like, battling the all-consuming symptoms, figuring out what helps and what hurts, uncovering strength we didn't know existed, finding gratitude that only comes with climbing tough mountains... the list goes on.  ​

I wanted to talk to someone who had navigated life with a vestibular condition.  I connected with many incredible people traveling along with a vestibular condition and just knowing I wasn't alone helped me so much.  The stories I did stumble across of people who had been to hell and back (and healed!) were everything to me.  I listened closely and I took their advice to heart, and along the way I learned so much through my own desire to uncover what was consuming my mind + body and support my health in healing.

Climbing to the top of my mountain has given me the opportunity to look back on everything I did that supported my wellness, and continues to.  The truth is that there's a variety with vestibular conditions and migraine disorders.  At the same time there's a string running through it all, so even if my experience isn't identical to yours, there's probably a resemblance.  I want you to know that I will not pretend that our stories are the same, only that we've probably walked on some of the same paths. 

I want you to feel confident when it comes to your wellness as you navigate your life- with a vestibular something and beyond.

Wellness is not a given. Happiness does not just fall into our laps. Finding bliss from within is not effortless. I believe that my health and happiness (what I call bliss) that radiates from the soul is everything that makes up this life. It’s the sustenance of my being.   I’m talking about contributing to my health both intentionally and lovingly. This is no small thing.  It takes commitment and often making lifestyle shifts. Much of this thought stems from my journey with embracing a plant-based diet in 2009, and over the initial transition period experiencing the transformation it provided my body physically but also on an energetic level. My point being, I believe that I can impact my wellness.

I believe that you should be empowered to included your health and the first place to start when it comes to elevating your wellness is diet. Look at the fuel that you're providing beautiful you. There's no ignoring diet. It's really important and I'm honored to guide you along this next step.

I wanted to heal on a deep holistic level.  Regardless of the label of my vestibular something, I believe that the mind and body can heal.  We are meant to thrive in this life and feel that bliss within our soul.  Even though I felt like I was floating, off kilter, disconnected from the body I was standing in, anxiety coursing my system like fire and brain fog that was thick and heavy, I still believed in the power of healing from the inside out.  I knew it would take lifestyle shifts as well as time and resilience, but I was willing to put in the work. 

And so I started on my journey of walking through life with a vestibular condition and taking back my life.


Our food choices have the power to make huge shifts  in our bodies and our world.  Eliminating the junk, and embracing a a wholesome plant-based diet gives the body the opportunity to free itself of that weight, both emotionally and physically, and as a result, it can heal and flourish.

Food is freaking fantastic.  It fuels us and quite literally provides us with the sustenance of our being.  It is the nourishment and first line of defense against disease.  It plays a role in our physical and emotional quality of life and is essential to our wellness.  I am an inspired advocate of a plant-based diet; however, the basis for that is whole, from-the-earth foods.  I will immediately credit a large part of my ability to heal from my vestibular something (and thrive) to the way I was eating.  In my mind, there’s no doubt about  it.  I know in my soul that it pulled me up and out and gave me the energy to push forward. 

Also, I use a natural toolkit of pure essential oils to promote overall wellness and address person health issues (hello, vestibular migraines).  I want to know that I am doing everything I can to nourish my body.  Because this is my body – the only one I got – and I deserve to feel better than just OK, I deserve to glow.  


And, my friend, so do you.

​Wherever you are with your vestibular something, I hope that you’ve discovered that you are certainly not powerless.  You are magnificent, radiant and relentlessly fighting back.  I know this because just the fact that we're connecting means you care big time, and you’re striving to feel better... to feel like you.

I truly believe a very important step is making kind choices when it comes to our health and that starts with how we the food we eat.

​Guess what's so great about that?  You have complete power to make shifts in your diet.

​This experience of healing from a chronic condition has taught me that I have to be my own advocate and I have to take control of my health.  The month after I was hit with all of the vestibular stuff, a wonderful friend introduced me to pure essential oils.  I was desperate for something to help my body heal.  I was in need of a holistic support system.

I had read that pure essential oils could help with vertigo, dizziness, mental fatigue, and many of the other symptoms I was coping with. I purchased a starter kit and the day the beautiful box of oils arrived I smiled knowing this was something my heart needed.

Incorporating pure essential oils into my wellness routine is one of the best decisions that I have made for my well-being.  When I first was hit with the vestibular stuff, I felt like it took so much away from me, but embracing a holistic support system gave me the opportunity to support my body and take my life  back.

What started as me rubbing oregano essential oil on my feet, created a blissful shift in the way I approached my health.  A few months in, I started teaching classes, both in person and online.  It felt so damn good to create a wellness empowered movement and focus on something other than my vestibular condition.  It also gave me the opportunity to continuously learn while connecting with others wanting to make a shift in their lives.  

When you get started with your essential oils, you will be part of a global movement of people incorporating oils into their wellness routine + home to create a higher level of wellness.  It’s an empowering movement and I can’t wait to have you be a part of it.

The most common question I get asked is: how did you get through it? 

I can assure you that healing (and eventually thriving) did not happen overnight. 

I had to get incredibly uncomfortable every moment of every day for days, weeks and months to uncover a whole lot of courage and determination.  It started by showing up in my life again, but this time with a vestibular condition.  My youngest child was three months old and my older son was two years old when the vestibular stuff hit.  They needed me.  I still was up half the night to feed my baby, and to be honest it’s all a crazy blur.  I was getting by only by focusing on life moment-to-moment.  I relentlessly moved through each day regardless of how I felt and fighting every moment somehow knowing I could do it no matter what. 

My short answer is:   I showed up.

In my mind, I separated myself from the vestibular stuff.  It was a part of me, but not all of me, and it certainly couldn’t define me  (unless I let it).

My mindset towards my vestibular something was one of the strongest elements that I had going for me.  I’m not bragging as I’m sure you understand that vestibular stuff has the ability to make you feel powerless, so I was grasping for whatever I could hang onto.  I was in pure survival mode.  I wouldn’t have left my house if it wasn’t for the persistent determination to be a part of life.  That doesn’t mean that I didn’t have terrible days, because the symptoms were dreadful for a long while, but my mindset carried me through those difficult moments and forced me to look beyond the hell I was drowning in.  I was always working to stay afloat and to do that I had to fight every moment.  It’s exhausting, right?  It weighed on my heart + soul so heavily, but I’m telling you that my mindset had power over that weight. 

You are incredible.  Look in the mirror and say that.  I mean it.  I say Vestibular Warrior to you because there’s a magnificent strength and resilience behind it and that is exactly what you are. 

I believe that gaining a soulful perspective on how I wanted to feel was my guiding light.  I know in the beginning my main thought was "I want to feel how I used to", but over time that evolved into, "I just want to feel grounded in this body that's fought like hell for me".  I didn't want to go back to before,  because I believe I became more "me" having gone through this experience.  I had walked an incredibly bumpy trail and gotten to the  other side of mountain... No way I was going back to the start.
